'Firefly' stars Euwenn Mikaell, Ysabel Ortega win big as PMPC Star Awards for Movie

Kapuso stars Euwenn Mikaell and Ysabel Ortega won big at the 2024 PMPC Star Awards for Movies for their roles in Firefly, 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival Best Picture.

Euwenn was awarded as the Movie Child Performer of the Year while Ysabel took home the New Movie Actress of the Year trophy.

Neil Daza won the Movie Cinematographer of the Year award.

Produced by GMA Pictures and GMA Public Affairs, Firefly tells the story of Tonton (Euwenn Mikaell) and his journey as he finds the mythical island of fireflies based on his mother Elay's (Alessandra De Rossi), bedtime stories.
 
Along the way, Tonton meets three strangers -- Billy (Miguel Tanfelix), Erika (Ysabel Ortega), and Mang Louie (Epy Quizon) -- who will either help him or hinder his quest. Also part of the ensemble cast are Cherry Pie Picache, Yayo Aguila, and Kokoy De Santos, with the special participation of Max Collins and Dingdong Dantes.
