Julia Montes wins Best Actress at EDDYS for 'Five Breakups and a Romance'

Julia Montes won the Best Actress award at the 7th The Entertainment Editors' Choice Awards for the film Five Breakups and a Romance, produced by GMA Pictures, Cornerstone Studios, and Myriad Entertainment.

Julia was tied in the award with actress Charlie Dizon, who won the trophy for Third World Romance.

Accepting the award, Julia said, "Wala po akong masabi kung hindi maraming, maraming salamat. Kung alam n'yo lang po, ako bilang nagtatrabaho sa ating industriya, manominado pa lang po ay napakasarap na sa pakiramdam."

"Ito pong binigay nyong parangal ngayon, sobra, sobrang nakaka-inspire pa na lalong pagbutihan."

Julia and her partner in the film, Asia's Multimedia Star Alden Richards, were also awarded the Box Office Heroes Award with Kapuso Primetime King and Queen Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera, Kathryn Bernardo, and Piolo Pascual.

In Five Breakups and a Romance, Alden and Julia portrayed Lance and Justine, two opposite individuals who pursued a relationship after a summer fling in Singapore, only to find themselves in a series of breakups.
