History has been made as GMA Pictures and Star Cinema are set to collaborate in 'Hello, Love, Again,' the sequel to the 2019 movie 'Hello, Love, Goodbye' starring Alden Richards and Kathryn Bernardo.

For GMA Pictures President Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes, 'Hello, Love, Again' is the best movie for the two film outlets to start their collaborations.

“Wala pa tayong ginagawa na joint venture movie because I think, this is the best movie that we can begin with,” Atty. Annette said at the official announcement of 'Hello, Love, Again.'

Atty. Annette looked back and revealed that the first contract GMA entered with ABS-CBN was to produce movies jointly.

“I think, three years ago, 'yung talks natin, and this is the first contract that we entered into with ABS-CBN, itong joint venture for movies,” she revealed.

“Sa umpisa pa lang, niloloko ko na si Carlo [Katigbak, President and CEO of ABS-CBN]. Sabi ko, 'Tara, mag-sequel na tayo ng 'Hello, Love, Goodbye.' Palagi ko siyang niloloko everytime may meeting kami, 'yan 'yung niloloko ko. Akala ko biro lang.

“Tapos bigla na lang a month ago, a few weeks ago, biglang sabi niya, 'Tara, gawin na natin 'yung sequel.' Sabi ko, 'Totoo ba 'to?'”

'Hello, Love, Again' continues the story between Ethan (Alden Richards) and Joy (Kathryn Bernardo) as they reunite in Canada, five years after the first film was shown.

In 'Hello, Love, Goodbye,' Ethan and Joy met in Hong Kong as struggling OFWs. Unfortunately, their romance didn't blossom as Joy chose to pursue her dream in Canada as a nurse.

'Hello, Love, Again' will be shown exclusively in cinemas on November 13, 2024.
