'Voltes V: Legacy' mega trailer hits 1M view in 12 hours
The anticipation for Voltes V: Legacy is definitely palpable as it has taken just half a day for the recently released mega trailer to rake in 1 million views on Facebook.
On his Instagram account, the show's director Mark Reyes shared a screenshot from the show's Facebook page, noting in particular the 1 million views the trailer has already amassed. In the caption to the post, he wrote “One epic Thank You!” and tagged the cast members of the show.
The trailer hasn't just been amassing views, but positive reactions from netizens as well.
As of this writing, the tweet from the GMA Network account has already amassed more than 600,000 views, 2,000 retweets, and more than 4,000 likes. The views on the Twitter video are currently at more than 80,000.
Twitter users have been generous with the praise, such as @CrazeLion who predicted that the show would be a “game changer” for Philippine television, while user @MamangunJane shared that they had goosebumps the entire time they were watching the trailer.
Meanwhile, user @404TILLFOUND jokingly chided GMA for making him repeat the trailer for almost an hour, and also expressed their surprise at the appearance of Dennis Trillo in it.
Meanwhile, user @EuwanPascual declared that the network had “exceeded everyone's expectations.” Twitter user @It_IsMyKate, on the other hand, described the trailer as “an amazing feat.”
Less than a week ago, the teaser trailer for Voltes V: Legacy was the first to amass more than a million views on Facebook, with Michael V even commenting that it was such a “thrill” for him to watch it.
Cast members were also given the opportunity to watch the show's mega trailer and first episode ahead of the public, driving cast member Ysabel Ortega to tears.
"Honestly, 'yung umpisa pa lang, 'yung skull ship, talagang sobrang nakaka-emotional talaga kasi we've been working so hard on this project for so long. So seeing 'yung first ep, seeing 'yung preview na napakita sa 'min with the scoring and everything, talagang sobrang maiiyak ka talaga," she shared.
