'Voltes V: Legacy' finale reminds us of the real meaning of brotherhood

Voltes V: Legacy reminded viewers of the real meaning of brotherhood in its final night aired this Friday, September 8.

In the episode, Steve (Miguel Tanfelix) and Zardoz (Martin Del Rosario) proved that blood is thicker than water amid their rivalry where they were engaged in a brutal duel that resulted in Zardoz's death.

Before their face-off, Zardoz and the Voltes V team, headed by Steve, went against each other in a colossal battle after Zardoz landed on a cockpit seat and discovered that the God of War statue is a robot which transformed into Godor.

Determined, Zardoz vowed to defend Boazania and saw it as an honor. Ned commanded Steve and the others to return to Voltes V, the only one capable of defeating the God of War.

Both sides clashed in an intense battle with swords. The God of War managed to topple Voltes V, putting it in danger.

Voltes V caught the Solar Falcon just in time. The beast fighter made another charge but was ultimately struck down by Voltes V's laser sword, causing it to explode.

Everyone believed the battle was over until Zardoz emerged seemingly unharmed and challenged Steve to a duel.

Steve accepted and engaged in a fierce sword fight with Zardoz. Zardoz and Steve were injured in their fight. They clashed swords, but their weapons broke.

Steve warned Zardoz not to let anger consume him. Suddenly, Ned (Dennis Trillo) arrived and noticed Rozalia's (Max Collins) dagger in Zardoz's hand. Ned learned that Zardoz is his long-lost son. Ned explained everything to them, although Zardoz remained skeptical at first. Ned showed Zardoz the inscription on the dagger, gradually convincing him of the truth.

Zambojil (Christian Vasquez) appeared with a treasure chest and a bomb detonator. Zardoz confronted him for his deceit, but Zambojil blamed Zardoz for his own misfortune. Zardoz threw the dagger, piercing Zambojil's heart. Zambojil triggered the detonator before dying, causing the ground to crack. Zardoz fell into the abyss, and although Steve tried to save him, Zardoz chose to die.

They gave Zardoz a proper burial, and the Armstrong brothers regretted not realizing sooner that Zardoz was their brother. Steve even thanked Zardoz for saving him.

At the Boazanian arena, horned and hornless Boazanians unite for the first time. Garth (Jamie Wilson) announced Hrothgar (Dennis Trillo) as their new emperor, a moment that fills his sons with pride.

Big Bert (Matt Lozano) declared his feelings for Judy, and she reciprocated.

Ned promised his sons that once Boazania is restored, he will return to Earth to be with them.

On their journey back, Steve reflected on how close the world came to destruction and their almost abandonment of their mission. However, they persevered, holding fast to their parents' dreams and ultimately succeeding. Now, life has returned to normal. They are once again free, but their mission as Voltes V continues.

Mark (Radson Flores) told Steve their bro code is over and advised him not to let go of Jamie (Ysabel Ortega) because he knows that he's the one who can make her happy. Steve and Mark made amends.

Steve confessed his love for Jamie and asked her to be his girlfriend, an offer Jamie happily accepted.

Big Bert and Judy find happiness together, as Steve and Jamie do. Mark returns to the province and is reunited with his loyal horse, Alpha. Little Jon (Raphael Landicho) resumes his studies at a regular school.

Through it all, they never forget their duty, always prepared to defend Planet Earth should danger arise once more. The Voltes team volts in once again, showcasing Voltes V and its laser sword.
