'Voltes V: Legacy' gets special citation from Otaku Choice Awards 2024

Megaseries Voltes V: Legacy continues to attract new viewers and bag new awards.

The series recently received the Special Citation for Anime Live Action from the Otaku Choice Awards 2024.

"We would like to congratulate once again 'Voltes V: Legacy' for their contribution to the community, and would like to personally give them this Special Citation trophy soon. This is a simple recognition from all of us at the Otaku Community," a post on the Otaku Choice Awards Facebook account read.

Matt Lozano, who plays Big Bert Armstrong in the series, personally received the trophy during the ToyCon PH Evolution 2024 which was held in Pasay.

"A well deserved recognition for 'Voltes V: Legacy'. Otaku Choice Awards confirms the Special Citation for Best Anime Live Action 2024 to Voltes V Legacy.

"Thanks Matt Lozano for accepting the award and congratulations to all of the cast, crew, and production for making this live action both a global phenomenon and world class quality," the Otaku Choice Awards Facebook account wrote.

Meanwhile, a collectible statue of the Voltes V robot based on the 3D render from Voltes V: Legacy was made available for preorder during the ToyCon Evolution PH 2024.

It is made of resin and costs range from Php 18,000 to Php 87,000, depending on the size.
