EXCLUSIVE: Ruru Madrid takes on a challenging cameo role in 'The Gift'
Kapuso Artist of the Month for September Ruru Madrid takes on a different kind of role for the upcoming GMA drama The Gift top-billed by Asia's Multimedia Star Alden Richards.
In an interview with GMANetwork.com, Ruru talked about his character, which will appear during the show's pilot week.
He said, “May cameo ako sa pilot week ng The Gift. Ako dito si Eloy, related ako kay Joseph (Alden Richards) nung bata pa siya.
“Mentally challenged ako dito. May pagka-isip bata ako dito, parang Boyet sa My Special Tatay."

Ruru saw the role as a challenge, one that he was very willing to take.
“This is the first time na nakagawa ako ng ganoong role, kaya tinanggap ko talaga itong project na ito.
He added, “Kasi gusto ko rin ma-challenge 'yung sarili ko. Kahit na sabihin nating cameo lang siya, gusto ko rin kasi kakaiba.”
