Beauty Gonzalez bids goodbye to her 'The Fake Life' character, Cindy
Kapuso actress Beauty Gonzalez penned a beautiful poem as she said goodbye to Cindy, her character in the recently-concluded GMA Afternoon Prime series The Fake Life.
On Instagram, Beauty described Cindy as someone who is "flawed, imperfect, oftentimes annoying" and is "a very difficult person to love."
She wrote, "Cindy. A very difficult person to love. But love her we must because she is you, and she is me. Not in The Fake Life, but in this Real Life."
"Flawed, Imperfect, Oftentimes Annoying, always misunderstood. Just like you and me, 'di ba?
"We try to do our best, to follow our hearts, to do the things we think is right. But a lot of times we fail, things don't work out as planned or as intended. We miscalculate. We get swept up with emotions and circumstance. We lose our way.
"But then, slowly but surely, naturally, the good will emerge. It will find its light. However dark things may seem at the moment, there will be a correction, a realization, a reckoning. Her truth will be known."
At the end, Beauty thanked Cindy for being another challenging character she had to portray.
"Thank you Cindy for the struggle, the many days and nights you confused and confounded me. Your character was so hard to bring to life.
"At the end I chose not to understand but to feel the moments, to let her heart throb and pulse, to allow her the things she must do and let fate and destiny run it's course.
"To remain open, and to finally show me again that which I firmly believe, that good things will happen to good people."
GMA Network's newest family drama, Nakarehas Na Puso starring Jean Garcia, Michelle Aldana, and Leandro Baldemor, will replace The Fake Life every 4:15 p.m. on GMA Afternoon Prime.
