Julie Anne San Jose says that aside from having a good singing voice, a Duet With Me contestant must have the stage presence of a real performer.
Kapuso artist Julie Anne San Jose is one of the mainstays and hosts of musical variety show Studio 7.
In their new segment Duet With Me, a Kapuso singer has an onstage showdown with two amateur singers. One of them will be declared as the weekly winner.
Julie shared how the judges determine who should win, “For me, importante kasi sa performer hindi lang 'yung ganda ng boses pero 'yung puso talaga."
She also emphasized how singers should sing from the heart and let their passion take over onstage. “Authenticity should be there also, quality ng boses, and kapag may puso kang kumanta, everything else follows eh, 'yung presence mo, 'yung boses mo.”
