'Running Man Philippines' world premiere takes Twitter by storm
The biggest reality show on Philippine TV Running Man Philippines delivered a good dose of laughter with its world premiere last night, September 3, on Sabado Star Power sa gabi.
With some parts of the country experiencing moderate to intense rains due to the combined effects of Bagyong Henry and the Southwest monsoon, the show was an awesome gift for many who are stuck at home.
The reality show easily became the top trending topic on Twitter Philippines and even our celebrity Runners: Ruru Madrid and Kokoy de Santos captured the attention of netizens.
Paulo Lim tweeted his impression about the pilot episode saying, “"Running Man" is such a great show. The Chinese version is fantastic and, now, the Philippine version on @GMANetwork is just as entertaining #RunningManPH.”
While, @EmpressKxxx posted on Twitter, “Nakangiti lang ako the whole time while watching the activity of the runners. Good vibes ang dala ng @GMARunningManPH.”
For @noorisie, watching the world premiere of Running Man Philippines was an opportunity for a lot of families to bond during Saturday night. The netizen shared, “My mom and dad [are] literally laughing out loud because of running man ph esp because of Buboy and Ruru's faces on that challenge, my mom even has tears [right now] because of how hard she's laughing. Others on Twitter quickly noticed the good chemistry between Kokoy de Santos and Angel Guardian in the pilot episode.
The two previously worked together in the prequel Pepito Manaloto: Ang Unang Kuwento, wherein Kokoy played the young Patrick, while Angel was cast as Beth.
