'Pop Talk' reviews a playful mermaid-themed cafe
If you're a '90s kid, you're probably familiar with the Walt Disney Feature Animation, The Little Mermaid, and dreamt of becoming like Ariel.
Although having fishtails for legs remains to be impossible to achieve, we have the next big thing: Cafe Mermania.
Opened in 2018, Cafe Mermania is a themed restaurant originally located at #5 Gen. Ordonez Street near St. Scholastica's Academy of Marikina.
Upon entering the premises, you'll instantly feel like you're living your best life under the sea with its beach-themed interiors, pastel colors, and cute little knick-knacks.

The food did not disappoint because for the price of PhP 55 to PhP 395 you can choose from an array of meals from Cheesy Bacon Barbeque Fries to Truffle Mac and Cheese.
Out of all their offerings, it's their dessert that takes the cake. Their Mermaid Tail Cupcake, Triple Decker Cheesecake, and Hokkaido Milk Handrolled Ice Cream are highly recommended for first-timers.

Because of the effects of the coronavirus pandemic, Cafe Mermania has sadly closed for the time being but retained its operation online.
Nowadays, they offer a variety of baked goods such as Ube Cheese Pandesal, Tiramisu Trays, and Strawberry Shortcake.
