Who doesn't love the salty and spicy Spanish sardines, one of the well-loved cupboard staples in many households?


It is often paired with bread or enjoyed as a viand. Sometimes, it is also used as a topping for toasted bread recipes.

But did you know that there's another way to level up Spanish sardines? You can actually make it the star of your pesto pasta!

In a recent episode of Mars Pa More, Kapuso comedian Pekto Nacua showed how you can incorporate Spanish sardines in the famous Italian pasta dish.

If you want to try Pekto's recipe, be sure you have the following ingredients:
olive oil
garlic
white onion
salt
pepper
pesto sauce
linguine pasta

Here are the five easy steps in cooking Spanish Sardines Pesto Pasta:
1. Sauté the garlic and onion in olive oil.
2. Add the pesto sauce.
3. Season with salt and pepper.
4. Add the Spanish sardines.
5. Put the linguine pasta and stir well.
