Internationally-established Filipino actor and model Teejay Marquez, as seen in his Instagram and TikTok accounts, follows the newest trend on social media called the 'E-Boy.'

In his recent guesting in Mars Pa More, Teejay opened us about his internet persona during the Mars Sharing Group segment.

According to him, E-Boy stands for Emo-Boy.

“Sa internet kasi, 'yan ang tawag sa kanila. Tsaka sa TikTok kasi maraming E-Boy, tapos 'yung tulad ng mga ginagawang challenge ng mga girlfriends sa boyfriend nila, tina-transform nila 'yung mga boyfriend nila na maging emo,” he said.

Teejay further explained that the definition and features of what an emo before has eventually evolved into this trend.

“Kasi nagtanong din ako kung bakit emo boy ito. Ngayon daw kasi hindi naman daw porket sinabing emo, kailangan talaga black 'yung mata, black lipstick.

“Ngayon, iba na. So sa America, sa ibang bansa, at saka ngayon sa mga style nung mga emo, medyo ganyan na,” he said.

The second video shown during the segment was another E-Boy video that Teejay made as requested by his Indonesian fans.

The celebrity guest then acknowledged that his hobby of making that kind of videos brought him to fame.

“Well, siguro alam nung iba na. At saka gusto ko i-share na kaya ako sumikat sa Indonesia because of sa ganyan. Dubsmash pa siya dati, hindi pa siya TikTok.

“So because of Dubsmash, nag-viral lang ako doon, ni-request na nila ako magpunta ng Indonesia, mag-commercial daw, hanggang sa nagka-pelikula ako, nagka-teleserye, kaya hilig ko na siya dati pa,” he said.
