Juancho Trivino heckled in 'Maria Clara at Ibarra' set: 'Hoy panot!'
Kapuso actor Juancho Trivino may be playing a villain in the hit historical portal fantasy series Maria Clara at Ibarra, but he seems to be a fan favorite.
Dressed as his character Padre Salvi, Juancho visited a coffee shop near the set of the show together with co-stars Kiel Rodriguez who plays the sacristan mayor Renato and Roven Alejandro, the show's Spanish language coach.
Before entering the café, an enthusiastic fan is heard playfully yelling "Hoy panot!" to Juancho.
"May tumatawag sa akin roon. Ang sabi ay 'panot,'" Juancho says in character.
"Huwag mong intindihin 'yon, Padre. Mga indio lamang 'yang mga 'yan," Kiel as his character Renato tries to assuage the scandalized priest.
"Pupuntahan natin mamaya 'yan para sila ay maturuan ng leccion," Juancho promises.

Juancho has previously explained that his character Padre Salvi is not "panot" or going bald.
"Ginagawa siya sa mga bagong kura. Its called the tonsure, so hindi siya panot. Sadya siya noong unang panahon na kinakalbo talaga 'yung top," he shared in a previous interview.
Tonsure is the practice of cutting or shaving some or all of the hair on the scalp as a sign of religious devotion or humility.
