Is 'Happy ToGetHer' star Ashley Rivera thinking about leaving social media to focus on her acting career?

By Aedrianne Acar

Kapuso comedienne and TikTok star Ashley Rivera is forever grateful that her career in social media helped her a lot in getting her big break in show business.

Aside from being a popular content creator on TikTok with over 1.8 million followers and a regular in the longest-running gag show Bubble Gang, Ashley is set to embark on a new journey playing the role of “sexytary” Pam in the Sunday primetime sitcom Happy ToGetHer starring the phenomenal John Lloyd Cruz.

In her one-on-one interview with GMANetwork.com, Ashley recalled how her career took off with the help of social media.

The GMA Artist Center talent also shared that she's a one-woman team and will have to seriously consider building a team to regularly produce content for her online.

Nakaka-haggard, pero 'yung utak ko kasi paminsan-minsan like on the spot, 'Ay! Magandang content to.' Or puwede 'tong TikTok ganyan. So, 'pag meron ako naisip isho-shoot ko na kaagad, bago pa mawala 'yung idea na 'yun and then magbabangko-bangko lang ako ganyan,” Ashley added.

Despite landing a big commercial for a liquor brand before the end of 2021 and two regular shows in GMA-7, Ashley doesn't see herself quitting on social media to focus on her acting career.
