First Yaya | March 24, 2021 (Full Episode 8)
Now that the president is dying, how will Glenn (Gabby Concepcion) handle the pressure of being the next president of his country?
'First Yaya' is the aspirational, fairy-tale-like story of an ordinary woman who gets to lead
an extraordinary life as the nanny of the children of a widower Philippine Vice-President
who eventually becomes the President by accession and election.
Despite social and familial obstacles and struggles, the bond between yaya Melody
Reyes (Sanya Lopez) and country leader Glenn Acosta (Gabby Concepcion) prevails
and blossoms into something beautiful, heart-warming, and exciting. But unbeknown to
them, a dark secret from the past—involving both their families—could possibly destroy
their intricate and already-complicated relationship, forever threatening their “happily-
ever-after”.
Adding magic to the tale are colorful characters, headed by PSG Conrad Enriquez
(Pancho Magno), Glenn’s primary protector and security chief who also falls in love with
Melody; Nina Acosta (Cassy Legaspi), Glenn’s rebellious eldest daughter who initially
rejects Melody; Florencio Reyes (Boboy Garovillo), Melody’s father with whom she
shares the strongest filial bond; Edna Reyes (Sandy Andolong), Melody’s mother who
believes in all things practical; Lorraine Prado (Maxine Medina), Glenn’s feisty co-
worker and jealous constant date who already positions herself as the rightful First
Lady; House Speaker Luis Prado (Gardo Versoza), Glenn’s known ally who is actually
an unknown foe; Pepita (Kakai Bautista), Glenn’s dining manager who is insecure of
Yaya Melody; Norma (Cai Cortez), Glenn’s trusted maid who becomes Melody’s
protector in the Acosta household; and Blesilda Acosta (Ms. Pilar Pilapil), Glenn’s
wealthy, doting mother who will stop at nothing until she sees her son become the most
powerful man in the country.
'First Yaya,' created by Jojo Tawasil Nones and Marlon G. Miguel, and directed by L.a.
Madridejos, is the ultimate modern fairy tale, complete with all the trimmings of
romance, drama, suspense, action, and comedy.
