'First Lady' is the sequel to 2021’s No. 1 program, ‘First Yaya,’ the story of an ordinary woman named Melody (Sanya Lopez) who marries the President of the Philippines Glenn Acosta (Gabby Concepcion).
Since assuming the role of the country's First Lady, Melody becomes overwhelmed by all the changes and the responsibilities she now holds. As she tries to emulate past First Ladies, Melody learns that she can just be herself, despite holding a prestigious role in the government.
However, with her Princess Diana-like appeal to the masses, the close confidantes of President Glenn Acosta worry that the First Lady may overshadow his presidential campaign.
Supporting President Glenn and First Lady Melody in their day-to-day activities are Glenn's chief of staff Yessey Reyes (Thou Reyes); Glenn's advisor Lorraine Prado (Maxine Medina); Presidential Security Group head Conrad Enriquez (Pancho Magno); Glenn's mother Blesilda Acosta (Pilar Pilapil); and Glenn's children Nina (Cassy Legaspi), Nicole (Patricia Coma), and Nathan Acosta (Clarence Delgado).
Melody's father Florencio Reyes (Boboy Garovillo), mother Edna Reyes (Sandy Andolong), and siblings Gemrose (Analyn Barro) and Lloyd Reyes (Jerick Dolormente) are still present in her life to guide and help her in her new role.
'First Lady' introduces new characters such as Ingrid Domingo (Alice Dixson), Glenn's ex-girlfriend before he married his first wife; and Allegra Trinidad (Isabel Rivas), a former First Lady who now serves in the senate.
This primetime offering is under the helm of Senior Vice President for Entertainment Group Lilybeth G. Rasonable, Vice President for Drama Productions Cheryl Ching-Sy, Senior Program Manager Ali Marie Nokom-Dedicatoria, Executive Producer Joy Lumboy-Pili, and esteemed director L.A. Madridejos.
'First Lady' is the idea of concept creators and writers Jojo Tawasil Nones and Marlon G. Miguel; Content Development Consultant Ricky Lee; Creative Director Aloy Adlawan; Creative Head Dode Cruz; Creative Consultant Kit Villanueva-Zapata; writers Christine Badillo-Novicio and Obet Villela; and brainstormer Jai Shane Cañete.
Catch the world premiere of 'First Lady' this February on GMA Telebabad.
