Manilyn Reynes, Sheryl Cruz, and Tina Paner reunite on 'Fast Talk with Boy Abunda'
For Filipinos of a certain age, the trio of Manilyn Reynes, Sheryl Cruz, and Tina Paner were the It Girls of their time. All three -- collectively known as the Triplets -- had booming careers in the '80s, with multiple appearances in film and television projects.
Manilyn, Sheryl, and Tina recently reunited on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda to not just look back on the past, but to also see where they are now and to look ahead into the future.

Excited
A day before the airing of their Fast Talk episode, Tina Paner couldn't contain her excitement and posted a photo of the Triplets on her Instagram account.
Manilyn's messages
During the show itself, Tito Boy Abunda asked the Triplets to share a message to the 16-year-old and present-day selves. Manilyn Reynes went first, admonishing the 16-year-old Sheryl Cruz for being “matampuhin” while telling the 16-year-old Tina Paner to learn how to jump from a high plaza so that their show could go on. As to their present selves, Manilyn asked both Sheryl and Tina continue doing what they're doing as their lives are now good.
Tina's messages
Tina Paner repeated the same “matampuhin” admonishment when it was her turn to address the 16-year-old Sheryl Cruz, while telling the 16-year-old Manilyn Reynes to not forget her when cooking daing.
As for their present selves, Tina shared how happy she was that Manilyn has found her forever and now has a beautiful family, and how she wished the same for Sheryl.
Sheryl's messages
When it was her turn to speak, 16-year-old Sheryl Cruz asked for a little grace from Manilyn Reynes and Tina Paner since she was only “matampuhin” because she always wanted to be with her two friends. As to their present selves, Sheryl expressed how happy she is to be their friend and how proud she is to still be involved in their lives and family.
Childhood crushes
One revelation that was exciting for the audience was the revelation from Manilyn Reynes, Sheryl Cruz, and Tina Paner that they both had a shared crush on Gabby Concepcion when they were still in their teen years.
Family matters
Now with their teenyboppper images far in the past, Manilyn Reynes, Sheryl Cruz, and Tina Paner have become mothers with children of their own. As a mom, Tina described herself as someone who can play along with what her child is into.
