Eat Bulaga has taken a break from doing live episodes due to the COVID-19 pandemic. And when the longest-running noontime show resumes its regular programming, Joey de Leon has a witty suggestion for its name change.

Eat Bulaga has been replaying past segments and videos to continue its broadcast despite putting its taping and production to a halt. It was among the first variety programs that suspended the acceptance of a studio audience in response to the mitigating measures against the new coronavirus.

In a witty post to keep entertaining the dabarkads, Joey shared a humorous suggestion to replace the program's title.

He wrote, “BREAKING NEWS: “Eat Bulaga will be back on the air soon but with a different title! It appears that they will be using the leading noontime show's title 40 years ago-- 'STUDENT QUARANTEEN.'”

Student Canteen is Eat Bulaga's predecessor from which the TVJ trio of Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey began.
