Content creator Ovela reacts to 'Oh Wow!' parody of Michael V.
Canadian content creator Ovela of Music Game News has shared his thoughts about the viral performance of multi-awarded Kapuso comedian Michael V. for the “Uhaw” parody titled "Oh Wow!"
The YouTuber uploaded a video last August 1, wherein he reacted to the music video, which aired in Bubble Gang last July 30 and gave his take on how he interpreted the parody song.
Ovela pointed out that he is impressed with Bitoy's singing voice. Commenting on the comedian's “Oh Wow” performance he said,
“You know that's the thing with Michael V. he is not just a comedian. He is actually a decent singer, man! I enjoy listening to him sing.”
In the nine-minute mark of his vlog, Ovela then discussed how he understood the message being conveyed by the “Oh Wow” song.
He said, “Unfortunately, a lot of what he is saying is true and I see it!” the content creator admitted. “Even in the reactors community or reactions community. I respect the reactors that are honest and who also get flak for being honest you know.
“I mean, I have received so much hate and I still do on both of my channels because of my honesty. And with time I have learned to deal with it. Some people have tried it, they have tried to be honest but could not handle the backlash,” he added.
“You know what, because I cannot handle the mean comments and people harassing me on social media, I'm just gonna make reactions where I will always say good stuff. I will always praise and be optimistic about everything and make it so wonderful. And so fake to me personally.”
After watching the full parody, Ovela then went to express more of his observations of other content creators like him, who do reaction videos in their channel.
He explained, “Not enough people talk about this man. People who look for followers and views, but are not honest about the way they got that. You know what I'm saying.”
“It's very frustrating, I did talk about this in many of my videos. Most people watch reaction videos so that they can see that the person reacting to with validate how they feel about the content, ”he continued.
“And most of the time, it's to see the person being amazed by the artist that they appreciate and really idolized. So, I love the fact that Michael V. made a parody of the song, but he managed to tackle a very interesting subject.”
Ovela added, “I'm talking about reactions, because it pertains to me, to what I do right. Like you have no idea, how I cringed when I just see people just react and always amazed by whatever they see.”
“There is absolutely no thought behind anything, you know. They are not saying anything of substance or they don't teach anything. I mean, you don't even have to teach. Just be honest!
“Like in this world you cannot like everything.”
