The last episode of the morning show Basta Every Day Happy aired yesterday and a lot of tears were shed.

In a segment where Gladys Reyes and Alessandra de Rossi were supposed to interview guest Janine Gutierrez, Alessandra suddenly became teary-eyed until she finally cried.

“Masaya ako na nakilala ko kayo. Lahat kayo, (ikaw, Gladys), si Donita, si Chef Boy and everyone na nandito… Masaya ako na totoong basta every day happy [tayo dito],” she said.

From a seat next to studio audience members, Donita Rose stood and joined the group that was on set. An emotional Donita revealed why she and her co-hosts couldn’t help but cry.

“Itong Basta Every Day Happy, naging isang very special part ng buhay namin kasi we really developed close friendships here,” she said.

She’s had many projects in the past, both local and international, but this show in particular really got to her because of the relationships she was able to forge.

“Sa industriya natin, lahat naman tayo a nagkakaroon ng friendships, 'di ba? And anyone you meet, you greet them. Pero dito, sa aming apat, as in halos every minute, tumawatawa kami, nagbibiruan, and everything. At umiiyak kami (ngayon) kasi sobrang grateful lang kami sa friendship namin,” Donita concluded.
