The series tells the story of Fatima, a blind girl with a good heart. She is the daughter of a mortal man and the mythical creature known in local lore as a “manananggal.” Behind Fatima's birth is a prophecy that could end the life of all evil creatures on earth.
Fatima is separated from her parents at a very young age. An old gay man named Mother Ben, who happens to be under the control of a gang, takes Fatima under his care. From then on, Mother Ben becomes the sole protector of Fatima. He uses Fatima's disability to help her escape all the hardships and mischief brought about by the cruel gang members.
