Glaiza de Castro teases new segment for 'All-Out Sundays'

Kapuso actress Glaiza de Castro shared what's in store for All-Out Sundays following its anniversary episode this January 31.

One of the new additions to the weekend musical comedy variety show is a 4-episode comedy musical narrative about a love story set in 1986, retold by Dadilo (Daddy-Lolo) Billy who has Alzheimer's Disease. He treasures an old cassette tape, with recorded songs in it, because it helps him remember his one true love, Gloria.

During All-Out Sundays' online press conference on January 28, Glaiza said, "Very thankful talaga ako na I can get to explore theater in a way sa All-Out Sundays segment noon na Tapsikret and now through Eternal Flame. Ito 'yung isa sa mga bagay na gusto kong gawin talaga. Iba lang dahil televised siya pero 'yung training namin, 'yung workshops namin, similar sa kung paano ginagawa sa teatro."

She continued, "Bagong comedy musical segment. Nandoon pa rin 'yung kilig, tawanan, at unexpected endings. I'm very proud of this group. Noong una medyo naninibago pa sila pero eventually ang sarap ng pakiramdam nung tinanggap nila 'yung Taksikret so ngayon we're bringing it back. Well, kung familiar sila sa Tapsikret hindi naman nalalayo 'yung cast na makakasama. Nandiyan pa rin si Paolo [Contis], si Betong [Sumaya], si Lexi [Gonzales] at si Kim [de Leon] at may mga additional na cast din kaming makakasama.

"Kuwento siya ng dalawang tao na nakalimutannang gusto pala nila ang isa't isa. May love triangle rin na magaganap, may teenybopper love na ma-de-develop. Siyempre nandiyan din ang past and present na setting sa story. Flashback din tayo sa mga hits noong mga nakaraang dekada."

Now that All-Out Sundays is celebrating its first anniversary, Glaiza says she's more thankful than ever to everyone who's continuously supported the show. " Sobrang thankful kami sa mga taong sumuporta sa amin since last year. Hindi naging madali 'yung journey ng All-Out Sundays pero ever since nag-start kami naging consistent kami sa ratings at na-e-excite kami lagi, 'yun 'yung reason kung bakit patuloy kami nag-i-improve. This Sunday, marami kaming guests na Kapuso artists. Mga cast from upcoming programs na makiki-celebrate sa amin."
