Lovi Poe hopes to still be friends with ex-boyfriend, Rocco Nacino: "My doors are always open for him"

In an interview during the press conference of Lovi's new show, Someone to Watch Over Me, the actress talked about hoping to reconcile with Rocco Nacino.
When asked if she still wants to be friends with her former beau, she immediately answered: “Yes. Of course, I’m very open naman, eh. My doors are always open for him.”
She also said that she admires Rocco’s reaction during the time of their breakup. She narrated, “Si Rocco naman, very mahinahon, very mabait. So, everything went smoothly.”
However, the actress expressed her shock when she learned that Rocco felt differently about things, post-breakup. She expounded, “Nagulat nga po ako na sinabi niya 'yun, since he said that, I’m hoping and praying na one day he’ll understand why that had to happen.”
The actress also put emphasis on the reason behind their breakup: “I ended things is because I wanted to [do] things on my own.”

And even says that she has no regrets on being with Rocco, even if things didn't end well. Lovi answered, “Of course [walang regret,] never. Maraming nangyari sa buhay ko na wala akong gustong ibahin. Wala akong gustong ibahin dahil hindi ako ito ngayon kung hindi ‘yun nangyari sa buhay ko.”
So what exactly does she feel right now?
She replied, “Ako, eksaktong nararamdaman ko is I know I can sleep well at night because I gave my best. It’s just that I guess the timing wasn’t right. He knows naman, I fought for him. And I fought for what we had. So, 'yun, I had no regrets, I did my best.”
Lovi also added, “I hope ang panghawakan ni Rocco ngayon is 'yung pinagsamahan namin ng dalawang taon, hindi ‘yung mga naririnig lang [niya] kung saan saan. Thankful na lang ako sa pinagsamahan naming dalawa. And I will never forget him.”
“He will always remain special. It doesn’t mean na porkit break na kami, hindi ko na naiisip kapakanan niya. Syempre, naiisip ko na sana he’s doing fine na. It’s just that things are just different now. Malapit naman siya sa puso ko, naiisip ko pa rin siya.”
So, if given a chance, would they be able to get back together as a couple?
She gushed, “If time permits, or if God [permits.]”
