Ryan Agoncillo on Picture! Picture!: "Sigurado akong malapit ito sa puso natin"

TV host Ryan Agoncillo is glad to be back we he truly belongs- GMA. The Eat Bulaga host used to be part of the News and Public Affairs department some 15 years ago. Ryan is poised to make his biggest comeback via the weekly game show, Picture! Picture! 

Hosting is definitely Ryan’s niche. Throughout the span of his career, he has hosted shows of various formats, including talk, variety, dance searches, news, and travel.

He reveals, “This [Picture! Picture!] is my first time to do a game show, like a proper game show, with just me as host so medyo doon, nangangapa pa. It’s very exciting.”

“It’s a very good thing that I have a very good team that I’m working with, the team of Direk Rico Gutierrez. He pretty much got it down to a science. It's just a matter of seeing how I fit into their framework,” he adds.

What makes Picture! Picture! stand out from the other game shows out there?

Ryan answers,“The unique part is, this is not a franchise show. This is a new show that we’re giving birth to. So basically, every little thing is new to everyone. That’s very exciting.”

For Ryan, Picture! Picture! is more than just a game show. It reflects the current status quo of Philippine popular culture.

“Ang Pinoy mahilig sa picture-picture! I’m not sure of the fact, but it was a statistic that almost 80 percent of the photos uploaded on Facebook is from Filipinos. Instagram, I don’t have the stats but I’m sure we’re major in Instagram, so major tayo sa picture-picture. Sigurado akong malapit ito sa puso natin,” he states.
