‘Home Sweet Home’ marks TV comeback of Raymart Santiago, Roxanne Guinoo and Gladys Reyes

At the Press Conference of the newest GMA family-oriented series, Home Sweet Home last April 16, GMANetwork.com got in the loop with the cast of the highly-anticipated program.
 
Home Sweet Home revolves around the Caharian family. Reden (played by Raymart Santiago) is a loving husband who came from a wealthy family. He went against his parents’ wishes when he married his wife, Dulce (played by Roxanne Guinoo). Despite their lack of riches, Reden and Dulce enjoy a simple and perfect life with their three kids, Benjie (played by Jake Vargas), Jessie (played by Jillian Ward) and Ivan (played by Rain Quite).
 
Things get complicated when Reden and Jessie assume different personalities after entering an old, abandoned house. Much to Benjie’s surprise, his formerly loving and caring father and sister have become irritable, selfish and impolite. What mystery does the old house hold? Will the Caharian family ever be the same again?
 
Also joining the cast are Bea Binene as Benjie’s friend, Lucy and Arkin Magalona as Arko. Adding star power to this heartwarming series are Gladys Reyes as Agoncilla, Rochelle Pangilinan as Wendy, Arthur Solinap as Kulas, Patricia Ismael as Mikay and Ms. Celia Rodriguez as Pandora. Making Home Sweet Home even grander is the special participation of award-winning actress, Lorna Tolentino.
 
Making their television comeback via Home Sweet Home are lead stars Raymart Santiago and Roxanne Guinoo, together with Gladys Reyes, who takes on another memorable kontrabida role.
 
After a 6-month hiatus, Raymart Santiago is back in yet another role as a father. The real life father of two was asked if he finds himself effective in portraying father roles.
 
Raymart stated, “Sa tingin ko naman, effective [ako], dahil napatunayan din naman natin sa Bantatay na ‘yung role ko bilang isang tatay…pati sa Luna Blanca. Lahat naman ng projects na ibinibigay sa akin ng GMA ay magaganda, kaya kinukuha ko naman.”
 
Raymart shared that he also contributed some creative input to make Home Sweet Home even better.
 
“Kasama ako sa pagbuo ng istorya [ng Home Sweet Home], kaya buong puso at 110 percent ko ang ibinibigay ko sa show na ito,” explained Raymart.
 
Celebrity mom Roxanne Guinoo is making her first television appearance in Home Sweet Home after giving birth to her second child last November. The talented actress was asked if she was having a hard time balancing work and family life. She replied, “Hindi naman po. Na-eenjoy ko kasi po after trabaho, pag-uwi ko, talagang duty na ako agad sa mga anak ko.”
 
Roxanne also does not mind playing a mother role. According to her, “Wala pong problema sa akin ‘yun. Sa akin naman po, importante kung magagampanan ko ng maayos ‘yung character ko.”
 
Gladys Reyes, who plays Reden’s evil step sister, Agoncilla in the series, shared her excitement over her newest project.
 
“Ito ulit ‘yung pagbabalik kong mag-kontrabida. Na-miss ko na mang-api! Sobrang saya ko na nabigyan ulit ako ng chance na gumawa ng ganitong show. Lalo na at MTRCB board ako, sobra akong conscious sa pinapapanood ko sa mga anak ko. Family oriented show ito, at maraming aral, kaya excited ako na puwede ko itong ipapanood sa mga anak ko,” shared the seasoned actress.
