Actress-politician Charee Pineda, all set to take on a sexy kontrabida role

Charee graciously answered every question from the press during the Akin Pa Rin Ang Bukas press conference. The mestiza actress expressed how honored she was to be working with the show’s all-star cast.
“Sobrang happy ko. Dagdag pressure ‘yan sa akin kasi ‘yung mga kasama, si Ma’am Gloria Romero, Ms. Liza Lorena, Sir Gary [Estrada], si Sir Cesar [Montano], kaya talagang matinding preparation ‘yung ginawa ko kasi nakakhiya dahil pinagkatiwala sa akin ‘yung role,” stated Charee.
It’s also a fresh change for her to be playing Agatha, who uses her charm to deceive others and extort money from them.
She shared, “Nag-kontrabida na ako before, pero sobrang tagal na. Tapos ‘yung mga sumunod kong roles, puro mga inaapi, kawawa, kaya nung inoffer sa akin maging kontrabida, sobrang pressured ako kasi nasanay ako sa ganoong acting at kahit papaano ay may similarity sa personality. This time kasi, masama talaga siya.”
Besides having a strong character, Charee’s roel in Akin Pa Rin Ang Bukas requires her to have sexy scenes. Will this, in any way affect her credibility as a Councilor?
“‘Nung ginawa ‘yung [sexy] scene with Rocco, pinipilit ko na i-detach ‘yung pagiging Konsehala ko kasi magkaibang mundo. Kapag medyo OA naman [ang pagpapasexy], hindi naman puwede, hindi dahil sa Konsehala ako, kundi dahil sa personal decision ko. May limitations din.”
She added, “Tingin ko naman, maiintindihan ng mga taga-Valenzuela kasi trabaho ko naman ito bago ako naging City Councilor. Talagang binabasa ko ‘yung script para ‘pag tingin ko hindi ako kumportable, sinasabi ko na hindi okay sa akin. Wala pa namang ganun.”
