Kris Bernal wants to build own house before getting married

Kapuso actress Kris Bernal revealed that she and her fiancé businessman Perry Choi have decided to build their own home first before getting married.

In an interview with Unang Hirit earlier today, August 28, the actress-entrepreneur also shared that their wedding that supposed to take place by mid-next year was postponed due to COVID-19.

“Na-delay siya pero hindi naman siya talaga originally this year. Next year pa talaga siya. Wala namang problema du'n,” she said.

Adding, “I guess ang pinaka-problema talaga is the construction of the house kasi we wanted our own house before getting married.

“Parang gusto namin kapag kinasal kami may uuwian kaming bahay na sarili namin.”

Kris and Perry got engaged last February.

Meanwhile, since COVID-19 has greatly changed her lifestyle in an instant, Kris admitted that she kind of experienced struggles during the first months of community quarantine.

“Nagkaroon ako ng struggle kasi sanay akong nagtatrabaho sa labas. Mga taping natin sa labas, puyatan. Hindi ka na nga makauwi minsan.

“Pero nu'ng pagtagal since nag-focus din ako sa businesses ko, pinalakas ko online, naging busy din ako. Naging productive din 'yung days ko, 'yung mga sumunod nang months. So, nasanay na din ako ngayon,” she said.

Kris has officially returned to work after months-long quarantine with her acting stint on Wish Ko Lang's August 29 episode titled “Kutob.”

She will be portraying the character of a battered wife while actor Ahron Villena will take the role of her abusive husband.

“Lagi siyang sinasaktan ng asawa niya pero dahil mahal na mahal niya 'yung asawa niya, martir martir siya. Tinitiis niya lang,” she said.
