Sa isang question and answer session sa kanyang Instagram Story, aminado si Ellen na nasaktan ang kanyang ego nang ma-experience ito.

Aniya, “I've been ghosted once that left me with a bruised ego. But he came back two weeks later with flowers.

“I said, 'No, I was fine without you and I'll be fine without you.'”

Dagdag pa ng aktres, hindi siya ang tipo ng babae na maghahabol sa lalaki dahil alam niyang isa siyang “strong, independent woman.”

“I never chase. I gave myself a pep talk that I'm a strong, independent woman and I do not deserve a boy like that. So, he's not worth chasing and I never chase.”

Payo pa ni Ellen, “And, you shouldn't be chasing also because you're a woman. And the egg doesn't swim to the sperm -- it doesn't work that way. It's not natural.”

Isang curious netizen naman ang nagtanong kay Ellen kung bakit ang bilis niyang mag-move on sa isang relationship.

Sagot niya, “My father played a big role in this one. When I was young up until now, he would always tell me and remind me that I'm a strong girl.

“Now that I'm a parent, I believe that you should give affirmations to your kids. How you should program their minds and that's true.

“I think my dad programmed me to be a strong person because when you tell these things, these affirmations to someone -- especially when you start them young -- they believe in it. They start to believe it and it happens.

“And because I'm on the secure side, I know that feelings come and go. And whatever I'm feeling at that time, I know that it will pass and I'm going to be okay.”

In a recent radio interview with DJ Mo Twister, Ellen revealed that she's dating again after her breakup with actor John Lloyd Cruz.

She confirmed, “Yes, I am dating someone. He's from Spain. It's a long-distance relationship.

“It actually works well for me because I have to spend time with my son. It works well for me so I'm not hassled at all.”

Although she did not reveal the name, some speculate that it could be Carlos Lemus, the guy Ellen spent her holidays with in Spain earlier this year.
