Fans and followers of both Marco Gumabao and Cristine Reyes were sprung with some surprising news yesterday after the showbiz personalities finally made their relationship Instagram-official.
In a post on Marco's Instagram account, which now has more than 300,000 likes, the actor shared multiple pictures of him and Cristine being affectionate with each other, either at a beach, in the city, or what looks to be one of their residences.
While making it official may have come as a surprise, that Marco and Cristine have developed feelings for each other is no surprise, as the pair have been around each other's orbits since at least 2012. Both were guest stars - on different episodes - of a different channel's sitcom. They even worked together on a teleserye back in 2015.

The viral photo
At the beginning of March, a photo of Marco Gumabao and Cristine Reyes went viral on Facebook as it showed the pair working out in Siargao. The post's caption insinuated that the two were in a relationship.

While the pair did not outright confirm that they were in a relationship, Cristine did post an Instagram Story of her, Marco, and Ella Cruz at a beach later on in the month.
Workout buddy
Near the end of the month, Marco further fueled speculation by posting Cristine on his Instagram Stories as his “Workout buddyyyy.”
Co-stars
The beach pic Cristine posted of her, Marco, and Ella Cruz were probably taken during the filming of Martyr or Murderer, where Marco played a young Bongbong Marcos.
Historical figure
While Marco played a young version of the current president, Cristine took on the role of a young Imee Marcos.
Beach kisses
The first photo on yesterday's announcement post included a sweet picture of Marco and Cristine kissing on a beach.
