A breakup is one of the most painful and challenging things one could go through in life. But falling in and out of love is inevitable, something that many will experience at least once in their lives. So, if one dares to love, one also risks getting his or her heart broken.
This rings true for everyone, even for celebrities. Though their life and career seem perfect, stars are just as human as the rest of us. They fall in love, get engaged, tie the knot, and some end their relationship or marriage.
And quite honestly, breakups can be more difficult for them because every detail of the separation is scrutinized by the public. Along with dealing with the pain and grieving over the failed relationship, they also must put up a strong front in front of the camera.

Team Jolai was one of the most followed celebrity couples in the country, and their fans were elated when Jon Gutierrez and Jelai Andres tied the knot in 2018.

Unfortunately, after allegations of cheating on Jon's part surfaced, Team Jolai's marriage has come to an end and has sadly led to a court battle. Jelai has reportedly filed a concubinage case against former husband, Jon Gutierrez.

In late December of 2020, 'StarStruck' alumna Jackie Rice introduced her “pandemic boyfriend” to the public during an interview with Lhar Santiago on '24 Oras.'
A secret 'til the end
However, just a few months after, Jackie Rice confirmed through an IG reply to a fan, that they have already broken up and their relationship lasted for more than a year. Until the end, Jackie didn't reveal her ex's name, whose IG handle “unlirice0714” cannot be found anymore on IG.
Scottie Thompson & Pau Fajardo
Basketball player Scottie Thompson got engaged on New Year's Day of 2021 to Pau Fajardo, his girlfriend of eight years. However, many were shocked when Scottie tied the knot with a different woman in June.

In an interview with talent manager and vlogger Ogie Diaz, Kylie Padilla's father Robin Padilla confirmed that Kylie and Aljur have indeed parted ways and it was Kylie who initiated the breakup. It was also revealed that a third party was the cause of their split.

Kylie Padilla has also released an official statement a day after her father's interview was uploaded in Ogie Diaz's vlog. She asked people for respect at this time since she, her kids, Aljur, and their loved ones are still in the process of healing and moving on.
LJ Reyes and Paolo Contis
After first working together in 'Sugo' in 2005, LJ Reyes and Paolo Contis became friends for years before dating in 2015.
Difficult breakup
LJ Reyes described her breakup with Paolo as very painful and difficult. After six years of being together, their separation rocked the internet. LJ and Paolo have a daughter named Summer Ayana, who was born in 2019.
Maggie Wilson and Victor Consunji
After 11 years of marriage, Maggie Wilson and Victor Consunji decided to break up. In an official statement posted on the former's Intagrram account, Maggie said, "Vic and I have made the difficult decision a while back to separate. It's been challenging to say the least, but we want you to know that there is no animosity between us."

Despite their separation, Maggie and Victor remained good friends and partners.
Their official statement read, "We will always be family as we share our beautiful son, Connor, together."
