Two remarkable talents of Sparkle GMA Artist Center were recognized last March 25 at the Philippine Esports Awards held at the UP Diliman campus in Quezon City.

Asia's Multimedia Star and Myriad Esports CEO Alden Richards was hailed as the Gaming Community Positive Influencer Of The Year by the award-giving body.

The homegrown Kapuso talent has been actively growing his esports company and in January 2023, he directed his first esports tournament.

He told in an interview with 24 Oras then, “Masarap sa pakiramdam, parang baptism of fire sa akin 'to,” Alden said. “It opened a lot of opportunities and interests for me especially sa field ng directing.

“Iba kasi 'pag sinabi mo director ka ng isang live event, especially an esports event. So, I'm just very happy and very proud of the turnout ng Myriad E-sports cup season one.”

Meanwhile, Myrtle Sarrosa bagged the 2022 Cosplay of the Year recognition.

Myrtle wrote a lengthy post on Instagram about receiving the award and thanked her creative team for their incredible support.

She wrote, “Thank you so much Philippine Esports Awards for the recognition as the 2022 Cosplay of the Year…This award is not only for me but for my entire creatives team behind over 71+ Cosplays we did in 2022. Every single week of 2022, we were Cosplaying 1-2 times a week out of passion and honestly it's a dream to keep doing the very thing I've been dreaming of doing and I am extremely grateful to everyone who has supported all my cosplay content thru the years. Beside me are friends in esports and gaming that have inspired me a lot @alodia - Content Creator of the Year. You know how much I love you Ate Edj…And @aldenrichards02 as the Positive Influencer of the Year - a person who I am happy to have played with in multiple games.”

The Sparkle beauty added, “Cosplaying and Gaming definitely helped me break out of my shell and inspired me to live a life filled with positivity, creativity, happiness and ultimately to live life like my favorite heroes, legends and champions-like an adventure aiming for our dreams.”

In addition, Myrtle's fellow cosplayer, Alodia Gosiengfiao-Quimbo was also recognized in the Philippine Esports Awards.

Alodia tied the knot with her now businessman husband Christopher Quimbo on February 14.
