Jinni leaves NMIXX, JYP Entertainment due to "personal circumstances"
Less than a year since their debut, South Korean all-girl group NMIXX lost one member as Jinni has left the group due to "personal circumstances", according to JYP Entertainment.
In a statement posted on Friday, December 9, JYP announced the departure of Jinni from NMIXX and the agency.
"Jinni, who has been a member of NMIXX up until now, will be leaving the group due to personal circumstances, and her exclusive contract has been terminated," the group said in the statement.
"As a result, we are letting you know that NMIXX will be carrying out all of their future scheduled activities as a six-member group."
The agency also apologized to the fans "for concern with this sudden news." They also asked the fans, the NSWER, to keep on supporting the six remaining members of the group.
NMIXX made their debut on February 22, 2022 with the release of their single album, Ad Mare. The group was then consisted of seven members: Lily, Haewon, Sullyoon, Jinni, Bae, Jiwoo, and Kyujin.
