Direk Mark Reyes to give Sparkle's newest stars a masterclass in acting for the camera
Sparkle has always been hard at work in polishing our young and bright talents through various workshops in acting, personality development, and more to ensure that they will shine like the stars they are meant to be.
This October 27, award-winning film, tv, and music video director and film writer Direk Mark Reyes will be hosting a masterclass for our newer Sparkle artists called the “Sparkle 101: Acting For Camera.”
As much as our acting workshops equip our talents with the necessary skills for them to tap into different emotions when doing scenes, lesser-experienced actors might find it difficult to perform their best once multiple camera setups and intense studio lights come into play.
With the “Sparkle 101: Acting For Camera,” Direk Mark aims to help our new artists make a smoother transition from acting in controlled, safe spaces such as acting workshops to the pressure-filled environment on set.
Direk Mark will be providing our rookie actors with key knowledge on working with multiple camera blocking and definition of directorial terms. He will also be supported by Sparkle actors Radson Flores, Matt Lozano, Elle Villanueva, Angela Alarcon, and Sophia Senoron, all of which Direk Mark has worked with on the set of Voltes V: Legacy.
This is one of Direk Mark's ways of paying it forward in his advocacy to help new artists be prepared for actual tapings and to avoid delays on the set. With this new workshop, you can expect to see top notch acting from our young and bright stars when they finally get the chance to show their talents on screen.
