New teaser poster of the live-action adaptation of 'Ghost Fighter' sends social media buzzing

Get your ray gun pose ready! Netflix dropped some big news about the live-action adaptation of 'Yu Yu Hakusho.'

Fans of the hit Japanese manga turned anime series Yu Yu Hakusho (Ghost Fighter) are flooding social media with their reactions (both good and bad) after streaming giant Netflix shared some teaser posters of the upcoming live-action adaptation.

GMA Network aired Ghost Fighter in the late '90s, which instantly became a cult classic.

Netflix uploaded the teaser poster on July 16 and it has since garnered over 29,000 likes and was retweeted more than 9,000 times.

Many netizens have a diverse reaction with the live-adaptation news, @BKuwata tweeted, “Yes! Yuyu Hakusho! AAAA! This looks like Netflix is actually improvung their love action anime game! Can't wait to see how it does!”

While, @purastiyo posted, “Better be good, don't ruin my childhood, please”

Netflix also introduced Japanese actor Takumi Kitamura as the lead star Yusuke Urameshi (Eugene) while Kurama (Dennis) will be played by Jun Shison.

Some of the past projects of Kitamura include: Tokyo Revengers, Night Doctor, Hello World, and Shadowfall.
