Sid Lucero on being reunited with Legacy co-stars in Magkano Ba Ang Pag-ibig: “It feels like home.”

Kapuso leading man Sid Lucero will team up anew with his Legacy leading lady, Heart Evangelista in the upcoming GMA Afternoon Prime series, Magkano Ba Ang Pag-ibig? Find out what he looks forward to the most as he takes on this project. 

Sid has done a lot of roles and won numerous acting awards in the past. What side of Sid will the viewers expect to see in the series?

“’Yung role ko dito, si Lucio Buenaventura. He’s an Agriculture graduate, tapos he’s a teacher. That’s basically it, then he falls in love with a girl, who because of fate, is taken away. He doesn’t want that and he’ll fight for her,” he answered.

Besides teaming up with Heart Evangelista, Sid will also be working alongside his other Legacy co-star and good friend, Alessandra de Rossi. How does he feel about his reunion with his former co-stars?

“It feels like home. It feels familiar. Hindi mo na kailangan kilalanin ‘yung katrabaho mo kasi nandun na eh, and you’re all already friends and if ever there’s something wrong on the set, I’m sure any of them will be more than willing to listen. It’s gonna be exciting kasi ‘pag kilala niyo na ‘yung isa’t isa, automatic na ‘yung saluhan,” replied Sid.

Magkano Ba Ang Pag-ibig? also marks Sid’s comeback after his stint in Love and Lies. What should we expect from him as an actor?

“I don’t know what you guys should expect, but I expect myself to be much more behaved and to show a lot more respect for my job, like my job has showed me,” he stated.

Sid added, “I think as an actor, isa sa mga sakit ‘yun na nakukuha ng iba eh, you get spoiled and then you take it for granted. Once it’s taken away and once you give in something you have to take care of, and without your job you can’t, it becomes so much more important.”

Sid admitted that he has come to appreciate the value of being an actor because of his dad, veteran actor Mark Gil.

He shared, “He gave me a letter. It was in a size 2 paper. It said something like ‘Finally, we have something to talk about. Finally, I know exactly what to talk to you about.’ The exact words that I remember is that: “Love your job and it will love you back. Everything else will follow.”
