The Alaska organization announced to the public on February 16 that the current Governor's Cup will be its last one in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).
PBA cager and former Dela Salle University star player Jeron Teng took to social media to thank his Alaska Aces family for the last four years of being part of this wonderful team.
On Wednesday, February 16, AMC Chairman Fred Uytengsu announced that the Alaska Aces will be leaving the PBA after 35 amazing seasons.
“We thought long and hard before making this final decision. However, we believe that this will allow us to focus our resources on providing affordable nutrition for Filipino families.
Jeron, who plays guard, was drafted to the Alaska lineup back in 2017.
In his Instagram post, he wrote, “Grateful to Alaska for giving me a home for the last 4 years. It's been an honor to play for the franchise. This will be our last conference as Alaska Aces, will definitely make it count! #TheLastAce #TheLastDance #WeNotMe @alaska_aces #throwback #2017PBAdraft”
Jeron is the son of retired PBA player Alvin Teng, who used to play for San Miguel, Pepsi, and Alaska.
