Go Kyung-pyo is the latest Korean star to test positive for COVID-19
There is growing uneasiness for fans of Korean stars, after several high-profile artists contracted the highly-contagious COVID-19.
And yesterday, November 30, several Korean entertainment sites have reported that My Roommate is a Gumiho star Go Kyung-pyo also tested positive for the virus.
Soompi shared the statement from Kyung-pyo's agency, CL& Company, that the actor got infected, even though he was fully vaccinated.
Moreover, he will undergo self-quarantine and will cancel all his schedule temporarily.
“Actor Go Kyung Pyo tested positive for COVID-19 on November 30. He already received both his Pfizer vaccines in August and October. As a result, the actor is currently in self-quarantine after canceling his entire schedule. He will return in a healthier and brighter state. We apologize for the concern,” the statement said.
With this recent development, his Netflix film titled Seoul Vibe will be canceled for the meantime.
As of this writing, South Korea has reported 452, 350 COVID-19 cases. Last week, BLACKPINK's Lisa and PENTAGON member Kino were reported to have contracted the dreaded disease, too.
Aside from starring in the fantasy rom-com series starring Jang Ki-yong and Lee Hye-ri, Go Kyung-pyo also appeared on Reply 1988.
