GMA Network bags several recognitions from the 2021 Asian Academy Creative Awards
Several shows from GMA Network are among the list of the National Winners of the 2021 Asian Academy Creative Awards.
Leading the pack are the network's flagship news program 24 Oras and the historical fantasy series The Lost Recipe with two recognitions each.
24 Oras received the awards for Best News Programme for the special coverage of Typhoon Vamco (Ulysses) and Best Single News Story/Report for its feature on the Typhoon Vamco (Ulysses) Marikina rescue.
'The Lost Recipe' bagged the award for Best Visual or Special FX in TV Series or Feature Film as well as Best Editing with nods to video editors John Wesly Lagdameo, Alvin John Memijie and Thea Rivera Daguman.
'Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho (One at Heart, Jessica Soho)' was hailed the Best Infotainment Programme for their multi-part feature "Baby Switching."
'Reporter's Notebook' bagged Best Current Affairs Progamme or Series for the documentary "Lilibeth, Sonia, Frank, and Fabel."
Sunday noontime variety show 'All-Out Sundays' won Best General Entertainment, Game or Quiz Programme while the second season of Barangay 143 won Best Animated Programme or Series (2D or 3D).
Two programs from DepEd TV, GMA Network's blended learning collaboration with the Department of Education, have also bagged awards.
DepEd TV's Filipino Grade 2 class won Best Children's Programme (One off/Series), while DepEd TV Kindegarten class was hailed Best Preschool Programme.
