Rayver Cruz continues to grow stronger and better with GMA as he remains a Kapuso
Rayver Cruz remained a Kapuso after he renewed his contract with GMA and Artist Center on September 5, 2021.
On Thursday, September 9, the actor announced the wonderful news in a virtual media conference attended by GMA reporters.
"Sabi ko nga, ang bilis lumipas ng years pagbalik ko and simula no'ng pagbalik ko sa Kapuso network, talagang shinower nila 'ko ng napakaraming blessings, napakaraming projects.
"I'm beyond grateful, sobrang natutuwa ako and masaya 'ko kasi talagang 'yung trust na binigay nila sa 'kin is ramdam na ramdam ko.
"So excited po ako kung ano pa ang pwede kong gawin with them, alam kong maraming-marami pa. Ayun, very happy, very happy, blessed," he told GMA reporters.
Rayver decided to return to his home network in 2018 after he signed a contract with GMA's talent management arm, officially making him a full-fledged Kapuso.
Since his return, the actor has continuously received projects.
Some of the major shows he's been part of are Asawa Ko, Karibal Ko (2018), Hanggang sa Dulo ng Buhay Ko (2019), and two seasons of singing competition The Clash aired in 2019 and 2020.
Right now, Rayver is part of the GMA Afternoon Prime series Nagbabagang Luha, which he top bills with Glaiza De Castro, and weekly variety show All-Out Sundays. This September, he is set to return as The Clash's main host together with Julie Anne San Jose.
According to Rayver, he's thankful to GMA for helping him grow as an artist.
"Na-challenge ako, 'yung mga capabilities ko na 'di ko akalain na meron ako na nakita ng GMA and 'yung mga shows pabigat nang pabigat.
"Kumbaga paganda nang paganda 'yung mga roles so talagang ipakita mo na magawa mo nang maayos.
"And from Asawa Ko, Karibal Ko, Hanggang Sa Dulo Ng Buhay Ko, and itong Nagbabagang Luha, talagang pataas nang pataas 'yung level ng character."
A natural performer, Rayver is also grateful that he was able to nurture his talent in singing and in hosting while in GMA.
"Right now, bukod sa nagsasayaw ako sa stage sa All-Out Sundays, ngayon kumakanta na rin ako kasama 'yung mga idols kong sina Kuya Christian Bautista.
"Marami silang nakita sa 'kin na kaya kong ibigay, i-offer, and ginamit nila 'yon. Tapos ngayon, swerte pa 'ko dahil isa ko sa mga Clash Masters, now nagho-host pa ko.
"Nakakatuwa lang, masaya sa pakiramdam."
"Actually ako, nakita kong nag-mature din 'yung sarili ko no'ng paglipat ko kasi 'di ko rin in-expect na magagawa ko 'yung mga bagay na 'to."
