Max Collins turns emotional as she renews her contract with GMA-7, her home network for 10 years
Talented drama actress Max Collins has chosen to stay and strengthen her ties with her home network, GMA-7 this Friday afternoon, July 9.
The TV and movie star, who has been with the Kapuso Network for a decade, renewed her contract with the broadcast giant and GMA Artist Center.
At the grand virtual contract signing was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Felipe S. Yalong, who was ecstatic to see Max remain as a loyal Kapuso.
Mr. Yalong said, “Max [Collins] thank you again for entrusting GMA your career. You are the classic example of how a true and loyal Kapuso artist should be.
“We are looking forward to your new and exciting projects for the delight of our loyal Kapuso viewers and again Max welcome again to GMA. Looking forward to your new projects with us. Thank you.”
Meanwhile, GMA Entertainment Group Lilybeth G. Rasonable described Max as a well-loved artist and talented actress.
She also shared that Max should look forward to her upcoming projects in GMA-7.
The Kapuso lady executive noted, “We are very happy Max na you said that you love being a Kapuso--well we love having you as a Kapuso, we have always believed in your talent and of course you are one of the most beautiful faces in television and movie industry.
“And we are proud to have you here. We are excited to give you many more projects because we believe in your talent.”
Also present during Max's virtual contract signing were GMA Senior Assistant Vice President for Alternative Productions Gigi Santiago-Lara, Senior Talent Manager Daryl Zamora, and Max's manager Perry Lansigan.
Also showing support to Max are First Vice President for Drama (First Vice President for Business Development Department I - Drama Productions) Redgie A. Magno, Senior Assistant Vice President for Drama Cheryl Ching-Sy, First Vice President and Head of Regional TV and Synergy Oliver Amoroso, Assistant Vice President and Head for Talent Imaging and Marketing Unit Simoun Ferrer, To Have And To Hold Senior Program Manager Cathy Perez, and Vice President for Corporate Affairs and Communications Angel Javier Cruz.
Max couldn't help but turn emotional after hearing the approval and sincere support from everyone in GMA-7, especially her bosses.
Teary-eyed, she said, “Naiiyak ako. Bakit ganun?”
She paused for a few seconds and then continued, “Ten years ago, lahat nagsabi sa akin na never ako magiging bida na hanggang kontrabida lang ako and thanks to GMA, nabigyan ako ng chance.
“And ever since then tuluy-tuloy lang, so I'm so thankful for all the love and everything you have given me and I'm so proud to be a Kapuso.”
Max Collins has starred in several projects in GMA-7 including Innamorata (2014), Someone To Watch Over Me (2017), Bihag (2019) and she is set to return to drama soon via her new soap To Have And To Hold starring Carla Abellana and Rocco Nacino.
