Ed Sheeran has written another song for BTS!

In a recent interview on the American radio show “Most Requested Live,” Ed Sheeran talked about an upcoming collaboration with none other than global idol, BTS. The English singer-songwriter revealed that he wrote another song for the K-pop group.

“I've actually worked with BTS on their last record, and I've just written a song for their new record. And they are like super, super cool guys as well,” Ed Sheeran shared.

On June 27, BTS's agency Big Hit Music confirmed that Ed Sheeran is indeed participating in BTS's new song.

BTS earlier announced that they will release a new song along with the CD version of their single “Butter” on July 9. However, it is unclear whether this song is the BTS and Ed Sheeran collaboration or a totally different single.

When asked about the release date, Big Hit Music said that it is difficult to confirm the details if the song will also be released in July.

Meanwhile on Twitter, BTS fans, known as the ARMY, couldn't help but get excited for this big collaboration with Ed Sheeran.

“Mr. Ed Sheeran might have pulled a 'Namjoon' making a spoiler alert and @BIGHIT_MUSIC @bts_bighit must be doing a Jimin [right now]. (…is someone at the door?”) It is so great to stan these cool guys,” @licious_butter wrote on Twitter.

“No way. Seriously. So we've confirmed Ed Sheeran song and Coldplay kinda confirmed too, right? All my favs coming together. I feeli like I'm being spoiled,” @Ot7Liz added.

BTS and Ed Sheeran's first collaboration song was “Make It Right” from BTS's 2019 album Map of the Soul: Persona.
