Lani Mercado after her medical procedure: “My angiogram test turned out…”

Bacoor city Mayor Lani Mercado-Revilla is doing well after her angiogram procedure.

According to vascular.org, angiogram is an X-ray procedure that can be both diagnostic and therapeutic. It is considered the gold standard for evaluating blockages in the arterial system.

An angiogram detects blockages using X-rays taken during the injection of a contrast agent (iodine dye).

In her Instagram post yesterday, February 5, Lani informed the public that her angiogram test turned out well.

She explained, “Thanks to those who prayed for me. My angiogram test turned out well. No need for angioplasty. Was advised to manage stress and maintain a healthy life style. Thanks to my doctors, nurses and my family. I ️ you all. @bongrevillajrph @bryanrevilla @giannarevilla @jolo_revilla @inahkins @dettebautista Ram Bautista #Staysafeandhealthy.”

Meanwhile, her husband, Senator Bong Revilla breathed a sigh of relief after the medical procedure and thanked everyone who prayed for Lani's safety.

He posted on Facebook, “Salamat po sa inyong mga dasal.

“Lani just got out from the room, and angiogram results show no significant concerns. Though she may need to do some medication, doctors said it's nothing to be worried about.

“We praise God for this wonderful news. Thank you for interceding.”

Several of her showbiz colleagues reacted to her Instagram post and wished her a fast-recovery including Dawn Zulueta, Princess Punzalan, and Jackie Lou Blanco.
