The emoji shedding tears of joy is the most used emoji for 2020 according to Twitter.

The pandemic and ensuing lockdown made us look for ways to express our feelings.

And what better way to sum up our emotional roller coaster this year than with… emojis!

Twitter has released a list (or graphics) of the most used emojis this year.

An emoji with tears of joy clinched the top spot followed by a loudly crying emoji.

The social networking platform also revealed the top food-related emojis for this year.

As we all know, the lockdown somehow poked either our inner chefs or our appetite buttons resulting in the rise of food emojis in the online world.
