Alden Richards celebrates 10th showbiz anniversary to thank family, supporters

'Alden's Reality' is not just a celebration of Alden Richards's 10 years in showbiz. It is also the Asia's Multimedia Star's thanksgiving and tribute dedicated to all the people who've shown him love and support.

Alden is bannering 'Alden's Reality,' the first-ever virtual reality concert in the Philippines slated as a global event on December 8, 2020 to mark his career milestone in the industry.

His highly anticipated concert will feature his performances reminiscent of his showbiz journey spanning 10 years.

But more than the production numbers he will be delivering with the help of cutting-edge technology, the Kapuso star emphasized that 'Alden's Reality' is a celebration of his family, friends and fans who have been supporting him since day one.

Alden named a few of those he is most thankful for when he faced members of the entertainment media at his recent virtual conference.

He said, “Siyempre po 'yung team ko po, 'yung GMA. Hindi po ako pinabayaan regardless of ano mang circumstance meron dyan. Never ko po namang naramdaman na pinabayaan nila ako.

"Kumbaga sa 10 years hindi ko naman po masasabing lahat talaga ng ginawa ko naging successful. Malaki po 'yung pasasalamat ko sa GMA kasi hindi pa rin po sila napagod na bigyan ako ng mga bagong proyekto and you know, to make me try different things para may maipakitang iba sa mga Kapuso natin, sa audience at the same time.”

Reaching 10 years in the industry is a big feat, and Alden can truly admit that the early years of his career were especially tough.

He said, “Hindi po naging madali sa akin 'yung journey na 'yun but kung meron lang po talaga akong ipagpapasalamat actually it's really 'yung na-bless po ako ng mga mabubuting tao na tumulong sa akin and sumama sa akin through ups and downs ng career ko. That's what I'm really grateful for kasi I would never reach 10 years without these people and they know who they are.

“Kasi siyempre ang success is best experienced when you share it with other people who are with you. So doon po ako pinaka-blessed, to have people who encouraged me, who gave me unconditional love and support. That's what I'm really grateful for and that's what keeps me going in this industry.”

Alden also opened up that he had thoughts of quitting before, but he chose to set those thoughts aside and soldier on for the sake of the people who have given him inspiration.

The Kapuso star continued, saying, “Siyempre I am always grateful to the Lord, sa blessings na binigay niya sa akin, and to my mom who gave me inspiration. But siguro this time, I never actually get to say this but I'm really thankful sa sarili ko na I didn't give up, na hindi ko sinuko 'yung moments na puwedeng-puwede na ako mag-give up kasi the people are really important to me.

“It's the people, it's for them, the ones who look up to me and siyempre my family as well. Kasi kung ako 'yung bumitaw, hindi ako aabot sa 10 years and hindi rin ako aabot where I am now. But most of all, I'm just so grateful for the love and support. It's still the people, regardless. Sila, sila 'yung naging inspirasyon ko to go, move forward regardless of the circumstance.”

Now that his 10th showbiz anniversary celebration draws near, Alden can only wish to further inspire people and take on new, challenging experiences.

He said, “10 years po is a long time. Nagulat nalang din po ako na 10 years na rin ako sa showbiz. But siguro hindi mo talaga mapupuna 'yung panahon na lumipas when you really enjoy staying in a particular job that you really love sincerely, and for me 'yun po 'yung pagiging aktor.

"That's why siguro in the next 10 years that's gonna come, sana more challenges. Kasi wala naman pong victory kapag madali lahat ng ginagawa eh. Mas masarap 'yung victory pag challenging 'yung pinagdadaanan natin. And at the same time, mas marami pang ma-inspire na tao with the things that I do po.”
