LOOK: Typhoon Ulysses's weird tail stretches across the Northern Pacific until Alaska
The people across many parts of Luzon woke up this Thursday morning, November 12, experiencing the full wrath of Typhoon Ulysses (international name: Vamco).
Cities like Marikina and several parts of Rizal reported severe flooding and some even compared it to the effects of Bagyong Ondoy in 2009.
As of the 1:00 PM weather bulletin of PAGASA, the center of the eye of the typhoon was located at 140 km West of Iba, Zambales.
It still has a maximum sustained wind of 130 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 160 km/h.
Storm chaser and British filmmaker James Reynolds uploaded on Twitter an interesting photo of Typhoon Ulysses, with its strange tail reaching as far as the Northern Pacific.
James described the typhoon “with an umbilicus stretching 1000s of miles across the North Pacific connected to a grotesque “mother ship” low lashing Alaska - the atmosphere never ceases to amaze!”
