EXCLUSIVE: Alden Richards wishes to bring fans closer together via 'Alden's Reality'
Alden Richards sees a silver lining in the ongoing COVID-19 crisis as he gets to headline the first-ever virtual reality concert in the country to mark his 10th showbiz anniversary. This cutting-edge technology not only allows Asia's Multimedia Star to celebrate his career milestone, but it also gave him the chance to be connected to his fans all around the world.

In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, Alden admitted that he had to change plans for his anniversary celebration to adapt to the new normal.
He shared, “Whenever events like this happen in your lifetime and in your career, you really want this to be celebrated na, of course, with everyone, with all of the people, na you want to be connected with them physically.
"But siyempre ang daming restrictions. We don't want to risk anything, we don't want to risk the health of the people that we love, of course. Kaya we found a way to celebrate my 10th anniversary through a [virtual] concert.”
Alden is staging 'Alden's Reality' on December 8 which will be available for his fans to watch wherever they may be. While this wasn't the original concept of his concert, he is grateful that better opportunities opened up for him.
The Asia's Multimedia Star said, “Napu-push tayo to be more creative in the things that we do and parang mas nagkakaroon tayo ng time for ourselves to think kung ano 'yung mga pwede nating gawin with this new normal.
"Kasi if we just let the pandemic stay here and dictate kung ano man 'yung gagawin natin sa buhay natin, wala eh, matitigil tayo. So 'yun 'yung nakikita kong one good side about what's happening now.”
Alden is delighted that his virtual reality concert is a chance for him, his fans, as well as other concert enthusiasts, to bridge the gap and stay connected despite the pandemic.
He expressed, “Makikita niyo ako doon but you can also be with me physically but digitally.
“We found a technology that can be shared with the public para mabigyan sila ng bagong experience on how to attend concerts kahit nasa bahay lang sila. So doon ako pinaka-excited. It's the first from GMA, it's the first time I've heard of this, and excited ako kasi parang hindi pa siya nagawa dito sa Pilipinas.
"It's the first concert that will be done on this platform. So abangan niyo po 'yun.
