Get to know Kelvin Miranda, GMA's newest leading man

Fans are thrilled that Kelvin Miranda will topbill GMA Public Affairs' upcoming fantasy - romance series The Lost Recipe with Mikee Quintos.

Many are quick to comment that Kelvin indeed has the makings of a leading man. In fact, they say that it is just about time that GMA finally gives Kelvin the big break he rightfully deserves.

Although still new in the industry, Kelvin shows great potential and undeniable talent that make him truly a star on the rise.

Here are things that make Kelvin one of the most accomplished actors of his generation:

1. He is an award-winning actor

In 2019, Kelvin bagged his first acting award when he was named Best Actor at the 6th Urduja Film Festival for his movie The Fate.

2. He starred in the Netflix Originals Dead Kids

One highlight of Kelvin's young career is his lead role in the Netflix movie Dead Kids, where he played Mark Sta. Maria. In this movie, Kelvin was praised for his acting prowess and onscreen charisma.

3. He sings well

Other than acting, Kelvin is passionate about music. He performs heartfelt renditions of ballad songs, among other classics. He also plays the guitar well!

4. His first TV series is the afternoon prime series Madrasta

On TV, Kelvin's first major break is via the drama series Madrasta. He played Barry, the brother of Arra San Agustin's character. In this show, Kelvin's acting chops were proven further when he delivered a solid performance with veteran actors Manilyn Reynes and Gladys Reyes.

The Lost Recipe will be GMA News TV's first primetime offering in 2021. It will be head written by Erwin Caezar Bravo, and will be directed by Monti Parungao.
