Sumabak sa training para maging Army reservist si Miss Air Philippines 2018 at Miss World Philippines 2013 2nd runner-up Zahra Saldua.

Ayon kay Zahra, childhood dream niya ang makadalo at sumabak sa Army training.

Habang nagte-training ay natuklasan umano ni Zahra na maraming pagkakapareho ang pagiging sundalo at pagiging beauty queen.

“Parehong kailangan ng commitment, parehong kailangan ng disiplina, and pareho ring kailangan ng poise.

“Because you're an Army personnel and you're there wearing your combat boots, you still need to have that poise na you're proud, you're ready, you're confident. Sa beauty queens, ganu'n din,” lahad niya nang makapanayam ng 24 Oras.

Bukod sa matitinding exercise, sumailalim din si Zahra sa simulation kung saan sumabak siya sa giyera.

“Umakyat kami ng bundok, nag-recon kami and parang mayroon kaming kalaban. We had a mission and gagawin namin.

“It's really a simulation of what we're going to do kung nandu'n tayo sa troubled areas in Mindanao or the NPA areas.

“That really shook me, kasi may part doon na nagkaroon na ako ng sugat sa arms,” aniya.

Dahil dito, inamini niyang mas tumaas ang respeto niya sa mga sundalo.

“There were so many times na nahulog ako, ang init, mayroon din kaming nakitang ahas sa tabi and hindi mo ma-imagine na ito pala 'yung training,” dagdag pa niya.

Naka-graduate na sa training si Zahra at nagsilbi ring frontliner ngayong pandemya.
