GMA News TV original series on education and good governance now available online
GMA Network has made the full episodes of GMA News TV's groundbreaking original series Bayan Ko and Titser available online as part of YouTube's “Super Stream.”
Bayan Ko, initially aired in 2013, tackled government issues such as corruption, bureaucracy, malnutrition, illegal logging, and political dynasties.
Kapuso actor Rocco Nacino portrayed the idealistic mayor Joseph Santiago, who faced roadblocks because of his lazy and uncooperative employees.
Joining Rocco in this political drama series were veteran actor Pen Medina as Governor Antonio Rubio, Ping Medina as Congressman Anton Rubio, LJ Reyes as Mayor Joseph's Chief of Staff Atty. Karen Canlas, and Mercedes Cabral as the powerful contractor Eliza Bauer.
Bayan Ko won the Best Drama Series award at the 2013 Catholic Mass Media Award and was given a Quill Award for Excellence at the 12th Quill Awards.

Titser, also first aired in 2013, discussed issues in Philippine education such as lack of books and chairs and classrooms, corruption in the procurement process, and high dropout rate.
Kapuso actress Lovi Poe portrayed Michelle, a high school valedictorian from a poor barrio who wanted to become a teacher. Still, her option after graduation was to work as a maid.
Joining Lovi in this drama series were Mara Lopez as Rosa, Agot Isidro as Teacher Sandra, and Irma Adlawan as Principal May.
Titser and Bayan Ko were awarded for Outstanding Achievement in the Broadcast Media at the 8th Hildegarde Awards for Women in Media and Communications, given by the St. Scholastica's College.
